There are several excellent pubs within Acomb village, 3 on Main Street alone. The Sun Inn offers pet-friendly accommodation, while the Miners Arms specializes in real ales and traditional pub food. You can enjoy a drink at the bar at the Queens Arms which offers bed and breakfast accommodation while also providing local provisions and a cafe facility.  Additionally, slightly further out of the village on the way to Fallowfield Dene camping and caravan site, is the Mariner’s Cottage Hotel.

For a delicious take away supper, try the Sea Chef fish and chip shop on Garden House Bank, open Thursday Friday and Saturday, and Acomb Tandoori delivers take-away meals 7 days a week.  Acomb Hair Salon is conveniently located on Main Street and boasts regular and repeat customers.
